As I mentioned briefly before create, more than one resume and make a list of TJTs you are interested in. I recommend you create 3-5 different resumes targeting these roles. Since Naukri allows multiple profiles and resumes, this is the best way of increasing your chances of finding a job. Leverage all the allowed profiles for maximum effect!
If you want to stick to a particular discipline, I understand and you can stick with it. When I decided to become a programmer I wanted to work only in .NET. Even though I was desperate to find a programming job and was running out of money, I didn’t target or apply for DBA, PHP, C, C++ jobs etc. I stuck to .NET jobs but was open to either WinForms or ASP.NET. For the .NET enthusiasts WPF didn’t exist back then.
But if you don’t care what role/field you want to work in, then go for multiple variations of your resume.
Some of my recruiter friends have lamented how fresher’s resumes are not targeted or specific enough. When they look at the resume they cannot tell what the fresher specializes in. If you have a targeted resume it will help them make a decision and it will work in your favor. Having multiple resumes targeting different job types is the way to go.
